Target Industry Analysis and Workforce Study
In December 2022, the Elevate Douglas Economic Partnership (Elevate Douglas)
engaged Ernst & Young (EY) to assist in creating a target industry analysis and
workforce study. This report identifies a refined set of target industries and niche
sectors that could be pursued to strengthen and diversify the Douglas County
economy. This study also identified potential opportunities for developing a
workforce in support of growth in these target industries.
Gordon Food Service located in Douglas County in 2015. The economic development team committed to us when we chose Douglas County that they would be our partner and they have stayed true to their word. Our partnership with Elevate Douglas Economic Partnership has been invaluable and their leadership in workforce development has provided an opportunity for business, education, and non-profit organizations to address the challenges of developing and recruiting talent. The efforts have been beneficial to our growth in Douglas County.
